High Wycombe and District Model Aircraft Club

What better way is there to dispel a week's pressures than to spend some time building a model, or flying

one on a balmy summer's evening, or even on a crisp winter's day, in the company of liked-minded people ?

Welcome to The High Wycombe & District Model Aircraft Club

We are one of the oldest and largest clubs in the South of England.

We were founded in the 1930s and today enjoy flying a wide variety

of modern, radio controlled models.

Sea Fury

We are able to offer  : -

A wonderful new site near Cadmore End high on the Chiltern Hills. The site has good access and parking and offers an almost 100 metre strip in line with prevailing winds. There are also alternative strips to cope with varying wind directions.

The site is eminently suitable for Gliding, Training, and Power models due to the large open expanse of grass with no major obstructions and a wide open space over arable fields.

We are affiliated to the BMFA, embracing their training scheme, with excellent Instructors and

   qualified Examiners.

   Accessibility for disabled persons.

Advice and encouragement for new members of all ages and comprehensive training to get

them through their early flights and eventually the BMFA "A" & "B" qualifications.

Occasional friendly competitions, or other aviation-related activities.

A Monthly Newsletter and Web Site to keep everyone in touch with Club competitions and

   forthcoming activities.

An active Club with a friendly atmosphere, promoting the sport and encouraging responsible,

   safe fun.
