The High Wycombe & District Model Aircraft Club is one of the oldest and largest clubs in the South of England, having been established in the 1930's and now having some 125 members.

What better way is there to dispel a week's pressures than to spend some time building a model, or flying one on a balmy summer's evening, or even on a crisp winter's day, in the company of liked-minded people?

What we have to offer?

  • Two flying sites, one at Flackwell Heath near High Wycombe,  and the other at Towersey near Thame.

  • Affiliation to the BMFA, embracing their training scheme, with excellent Instructor's and qualified Examiners.

  • Advice and encouragement for new members of all ages and comprehensive training to get them through those first few flights.

  • Monthly Social Evenings with occasional guest speakers, or other aviation-related activities, and table-top sales of models and equipment.

  • Monthly Newsletters to keep everyone in touch with Club competitions and forthcoming attractions in the area.

  • Commitment to provide an active Club with a friendly atmosphere, promoting the sport and encouraging responsible, safe fun.
